Based in Kensal Rise, north-west London, this cleverly designed outdoor building was built insitu, with concrete walls strengthened by reinforced steel and cladded in black mild steel. Dubbed ‘The Brexit Bunker’ by our clients, the space is used as an office, with the ceiling and walls constructed in birch ply wood.

The bespoke birch ply joinery was fabricated by CBC London, creating a seating area at the front of the build and a reading nook inside, with steps leading up to the top of the building making the most of the natural light coming from the electronic opening rooflight.

Including electronic underfloor heating, recessed LED strip lights with diffusers and large format Italian tiles, the space is a serene working environment with lots of natural light.

This truly unique project also features bespoke lighting, with the entrance light, inspired by the Samurai helmet, designed by the architects, Rise Design Studio and fabricated and installed by CBC.
