Located in Clapham, south London, this terraced house was redesigned by architect Rise Design Studio with building work carried out by CBC London.

Extending into the loft created more space for our client and with a considerable amount of additional glazing and lighting going into the property, this gave the illusion of additional space, brightening the home.

The installation of a rooflight in the staircase going up into the newly created dormer bedroom allows light to flood through the hallway, with the addition of electric opening pitched roof lights on the flat roof and manual sliding Juliette style glazing in the dormer conversion bringing more light into the space.

With high-spec finishes, the renovation consisted of the installation of solar panels and a mechanical heat recovery system (MVHR), with the property being made airtight to allow for the new heating system.

The master bedroom and master ensuite bathroom feature CBC’s bespoke handmade joinery, with the installation of floor to ceiling and wall to wall storage, along with a utility unit in the master ensuite bathroom.
